Core Infrastructure Projects

The city runs the Bendigo Things Network, a free open-source IoT system that uses MatchX gateways to cover more than 80 percent of Bendigo and allow community data sharing. Coliban Water became the first Victorian utility to install smart water stations equipped with LoRaWAN sensors that track usage patterns and park visitor behaviour. The '100 Gig Bendigo' program promotes a 100-gigabit broadband network aimed at narrowing the digital divide and supporting new digital firms.
