Bendigo Community Events Calendar: July 13, 2026

Bendigo’s winter events calendar is humming. This weekend, locals and visitors can choose from a vintage market at the Bendigo Town Hall, a pottery workshop at the Bendigo Pottery in Epsom, and a live jazz session at the Star Cinema on Saturday night.

Markets and making

The Bendigo Vintage and Collectors Fair returns to the Bendigo Town Hall this Saturday, July 18, from 9am to 3pm. Entry is $5 for adults, with children under 12 free. Organisers say more than 40 stallholders will be selling retro furniture, vinyl records, old coins and handmade crafts.

At the Bendigo Pottery on Midland Highway, a beginner’s wheel-throwing workshop runs on Sunday, July 19, from 10am to 1pm. The $85 ticket includes clay, glazing and firing of one piece. Participants are asked to wear clothes they don’t mind getting muddy. Bookings are available through the Bendigo Pottery website.

Music and screens

The Star Cinema on Lyttleton Terrace hosts a live jazz performance by the Melbourne-based quartet The Velvet Rhinos on Saturday evening. Doors open at 7pm, with music from 7.30pm. Tickets are $35 general admission, $28 for concession. The bar will serve local wines from Balgownie Estate and craft beers from Bridge Bendigo Brewing.

For families, the Bendigo Library on Hargreaves Street runs its weekly Storytime session on Friday morning at 10.30am. It is free and suitable for children aged three to five. No booking is needed, just turn up.

The Capital Theatre’s program for the rest of July includes a screening of the Australian documentary “The Last Ocean” on July 25, followed by a Q&A with director Polly Watkins. Tickets are $20.
