Community events calendar

Bendigo's community events calendar for July lists 22 scheduled activities across the city beginning 13 July.

The listings arrive as winter programs shift into full swing after school holidays end last week. Local groups have added sessions at indoor venues to avoid the colder mornings that hit 3 degrees on average this month.

Two central spots anchor much of the activity. The Bendigo Town Hall on Hargreaves Street hosts a weekly craft circle every Thursday from 10am, while the Rosalind Park rotunda on View Street becomes the site of the Sunday produce market that opens at 8am.

Market and workshop schedule

Organisers at the Bendigo Community House on Bath Lane added three new pottery sessions priced at $25 each after 180 people signed up for the June trial. The first session runs 15 July at 6pm. Separate listings show the Bendigo Art Gallery on Bridge Street will run free drawing workshops on 18 July and 25 July for children aged 8 to 12.

Attendance records from last July show 4,150 people visited the main market days combined, according to City of Greater Bendigo figures. Entry to most events remains free or under $15, with online registration required for the paid workshops.
