The Bendigo Art Gallery at 42 View Street runs its current winter exhibition through 31 August with free entry for Bendigo residents on Wednesdays. Staff added extended hours until 7pm on Fridays to accommodate after-work crowds. A short walk away, the Central Deborah Gold Mine on Violet Street offers underground tours at 11am and 2pm daily, where the constant 17-degree temperature provides a break from the wind outside. Both sites sit within the central business district and accept online bookings that include tram transfers from Lake Weeroona.

Park and trail choices near Rosalind Park

Rosalind Park on Pall Mall stays open daily with new lighting installed along the main paths for evening walks before 6pm. The adjacent Bendigo Botanic Gardens added a winter plant trail map last month that highlights 12 species still in bloom.
