Bendigo Wolves top community league after five straight wins

The Bendigo Wolves defeated the Kangaroo Flat Knights 3-0 at the Bendigo Sports Complex on Saturday night to extend their unbeaten run to five matches and move three points clear at the top of the Bendigo District Soccer League table.

The result matters now because the league reaches its halfway mark next weekend, when the top four sides lock in their finals positions before the August knockout stage begins.

Training base and match venue

Players train three nights a week at Weeroona Oval in the Long Gully neighbourhood and play home fixtures on the synthetic pitch at the Bendigo Sports Complex on View Street. Both sites sit within a five-minute drive of the clubrooms on Napier Street.

League records show the Wolves have scored 22 goals and conceded only four across their eight matches this season. Senior membership stands at 180 players, an increase of 15 percent since the January 2026 registration window opened, with annual fees listed at $185 for adults and $95 for juniors.

Next steps for supporters

The Wolves host the Golden Square Saints on 18 July at 7 pm at the Bendigo Sports Complex. Tickets cost $12 at the gate or $10 when purchased online before midday on match day. Free junior clinics run from 5 pm to 6 pm on the same evening at Weeroona Oval for any local player aged 8 to 12.
