Bendigo Arena Set for Victorian League Finals Showcase

The Bendigo Multi-Sport Complex on Lansell Road opens for the Victorian Football League elimination finals series that begins August 8.

The timing aligns with the final month of the 2026 home-and-away season, when four Bendigo-based sides sit inside the top eight and need neutral-venue matches to advance.

The new arena sits 800 metres from the Quarry Hill Recreation Reserve, where the Bendigo Bombers run their junior academy, and will share parking with the Bendigo Sports and Leisure Centre on High Street. The Bendigo Football Netball League has already booked the indoor courts for its under-18 grand final on September 12.

Council records show the project received $1.8 million from the state government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Fund and another $1.4 million from the City of Greater Bendigo’s 2025-26 capital works budget.

Capacity and Next Steps

Design documents list a seated capacity of 4,200 with an additional 1,300 standing spots on the eastern concourse. The main court measures 40 metres by 20 metres to meet VFL broadcast standards. Tickets for the August 8 elimination final go on sale through Ticketek at 9 am on July 20, with adult prices starting at $28 and family passes at $65.
